Aren't you the huge kid, that rode the pine for Farragut all of last season. So what, now that you actually get to play you can come on here and brag about a team that you watched from inside the dugout the last 3 years of your life. Too bad Daddy couldnt buy you a starting spot.

too bad you wouldnt even be able to make that team

I don't quiet understand your post. In no way was I boasting. I'm just saying you should never talk about another team (in this case Sevier County) in the way you did. That is not acceptable. You should never put down any other teams. That shows supidity on your part for saying such a thing.

The bottom line is that Jpigg34 has a ring and you don't. And if you've seen 34 bat then you probably wouldn't be talking. The kid rips doubles, hard hit doubles. And i would have to say that it's deffinly helping the team out and that has a part on winning games.

Maryville was 3and 3 in Florida last week on spring break. David Parker pitched a no hitter in game one, Jason Bott got the win in game two, then ran out of pitching and got Killed by a 6A team that was in the top 5 last year.

How's Brown Watson doing? I got to see him play a few times last year for Maryville, and once or twice out at Jefferson City this summer. Seems like a pretty good player with a bit of an attitude problem at times. I noticed that he and the Gaylor boy went yard for Maryville the other day...maybe Blair as well?

Brown's taken up right where he left off last year.Hitting in the high .400 and has a couple of hommers. Just wants to win. Has committed to play at Hiwassee and could do better, but he will get to play alot and make the transition to a four year school. Shawn is a sleeper. He had a three run shot in Florida and has another one since they got back. Solid pitcher as well. He was the closer in the no hitter against Sevier County, not saying much but solid.

    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
    • I’m not taking shots at the kid, but “athlete” is not something I would use to describe him. He was a long, lengthy, defensive back
    • Mistakes like that should never happen.
