Tonight's the BIG NIGHT in Hockeytown, or as the rest of America knows it as the Western Capital of the Rust Belt.

The young Preds against the Geri-Wings. Can you picture the shock and awe if Hartnell scores early like he did against the Nordiques, I mean, 'Av's?

I can't wait to hear how we will be treated by the National talking heads. How many corny country music references will there be? How much do they know about this series, this team, this town? My guess is they learned the names and that was about it. Great chance to finally get some people to see this team. Will they start the game at 3:30 so the Wings don't miss out on the early-bird buffet dinner with their friends?

Ahhh.... this is too exciting. I've made my prediction known to some friends so I'll post it here. Predators win 4-2. Yes, that means Nashville will go nuts when they're team advances with a win at home. I could very well be wrong, but it's truly what I think will happen.

 

I also have a strong feeling for some reason that Legwand will score the first playoff goal for the Predators. Steve Sullivan will have at least one GREAT game. Vokoun gets a playoff shutout. See if these things happen....

It's PLAYOFF TIME!!!!!! The Preds need to stay focused and treat this as an opportunity to show that we do play pretty good hockey in the south. Don't be shocked at the amount of clutching and grabbing not called. Officials tend to swallow whistle in playoffs. This is a disadvantage to us, since we draw a lot of penalties.

 

Nevertheless, Can't wait til tonight, and really can't wait for our very first, official, playoff hockey game in SMASHVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did I say Legwand? I meant my favorite player Adam Hall. Hey, not a bad showing for the first playoff game ever. Just gotta put together THREE COMPLETE periods. No more defensive breakdowns. I was pleased overall. We'll get 'em Saturday.
