Did the Bad Call Cost Warren County The Game against Oakland????????

Top 6th 1 out guy did a check swing ran down to first and the ump in the feild said he didnt go guy got walked and bases were loaded then the next guy come up grounded to first that should have been three out but the next guy hit a grand slam to put oakland up 6 to 3

I'm sorry marty but a call from a umpire doesn't cost a game. I know how you feel believe me, but there are alot of bad calls made every day all the time different points in games. But a bad call does not cost you a game, you can always do something different, ex: if the pitcher struck out the next two people then you wouldn't have to worry about it. I am by no means saying that the pitcher should have but that is just an example, had that happened you would have never thought about that call. But that's just my point of view.

If the one call cost you the game then you didn't play well enough to win. If the guy from Warren county got a hit instead of doing a check swing then there would be no argument. Baseball is such a situational game it is very hard to say a game would go one way on just one call.

I agree, a bad call rarely, if ever decides the outcome of a game. I was there. To the umpires defense, it was a curve in the dirt and the home plate ump asked for help immediately. The field ump immediately declared it was NOT a swing. To the batters defense, he did the correct thing by running to first. When in doubt....! No difference than running out a ball hit down the line, let the ump do his job you play the game. To Oaklands defense, they took advantage if a situation and ultimately won. To Warren County's defense....I would have argued the call as well
