IT's pretty evident that you do not have a clue about baseball or coaches! If you think that Powers is such a great coach you should ask some of his former players. I remember that in 1997 ,he had most of his team coming back from the previous year and did not even get out of the district tournament, and have you forgot about last year. Riverdale had the most talented team in the district and LOST in the finals. Oakland came to the "Reservation" and out-coached them and out-played them. If you want to talk about good coaches and coaches that work hard you better move across town to Oakland. I don't see Powers wearing any rings on his fingers except a wedding ring! Oakland has continued to win even though they are not the most talented. Warren Co. coaches also do a good job, and won a state championship in 92. Would you happen to to be related to Rush Limbaugh? He seems to be full of it also!!!

Evidently your clueless as to what a riot is. I was at the game and it was nothing more than some pushing and mouthing between some players. This was all quickly broken up by the coaches and umpires.

Who is responsible for reporting the results of the games at the Rutherford County High Schools? Does each school in the county have someone responsible for reporting the information to the Daily News Journal? :confused: Isn't it the job of the DNJ prep editor to obtain the results and information? :confused:

Riverdale saw Germantown's #3 or #4 pitcher, while Oakland saw Germantown's #1 pitcher. Riverdale hasn't seen a quality team's #1 pitcher all week. Riverdale's bats are usually HOT at the beginning of the season, but tend to cool down at playoff time (2002 District Tournament).

If Lavergne has players coming in everyday then why would Reavis leave? The last time that I saw the field was in the summer and it looked pretty rough!!!

Williams will not go to Lavergne. Why would he go there? They lose everything after this year. Their field and facilities are not very good and not kept up very well.It will be interesting to see how the field and facilities are kept up at Siegel, IF they ever get built, IF Reavis is truly the coach. RUMOR has it in the Boro that the Siegel job was offered to Hawks at Oakland, but he declined the position. As a result the job was offered to Reavis, although there has not been any confirmation in the local paper. Does anyone know why Hawks declined to position at Siegel?
