Throughout TSSAA baseball we have all kinds of coaches doing great groundskeeping work. So now is your chance to represent your coach. Who lays that chalk like it is going out of style? Who rakes like there is no tomorrow? Who puts first and second in the hole and heads for third without hesitation? Who rides that 4X4 Gator like he is racing in the BAHA 500? Here's to you Mr. Coach Doubling as a Groundskeeper.

One of Tennessee's Studs is Coach Hale out at David Lipscomb, better known as Chico. He is a Solitary Man looking to better every facet of the game. He knows that a quarter turn of a ball one way or the other can make or break a game. He once hit a man in Portland, just to see him cry. An ump crossed him and he went down in a Burning Ring of Fire. I once heard that DL didnt have a third base so like McGyver he asked for a pillow, two blocks of ice, a nail, 4 screws, a book, a set of keys, a mouse pad, 3 cell phones, a bar stool, a shower cap, toilet paper, a Surge, a $5 bill, a gift certificate to GNC, a floppy disk, a Keith Urban CD (Golden Road), 3 pencils (#2 only), and a blue hat and without hesitation he fashioned a base. That my friends, cannot be tought. Here's to you, Chic!

Chico sails his vessel on The River despite having to deal with rough Waters day in and day out. Chico goes into every day with the mentality that he Ain't Goin' Down Till The Sun Comes Up, he spends countless hours and effort on the diamond. As we all do, Chico has Friends in Low Places, but he stays away from the Longneck Bottles. There was That Summer when Chico realized his dream of winning his first state championship. Even with a Fever or while The Thunder Rolls, Chico's not Standing Outside the Fire, he's hard at work. If Tomorrow Never Comes, I hope Chico knows he's appreciated, and maybe this summer Chico can get another ring and we might all witness the Dance (or the o-so-popular head stand!)

Chico is just a "front man". He is put out there to appear to do all of the dirty work. The real force behind the scenes is Kyle McAfee. He does it all. How do you think he really hurt his rotator cuff? He was chopping weeds near second base. Kyle does the work and Chico gets the credit.

I agree bear29 coach freeman is an important key to the bradley central bears baseball program. Never is there a time u dont see him rakin the infield, cuttin the grass, or paintin the lines. This guy is a true coach and he loves the game. Although his freshman team is struggling, Keith Freeman is the best all-around coach.
