moosebychoice
Heard through the grapevine that a few players in line to start next year are upset over something going with the team. Also heard that there might not be enough for a decent team. Is this Unaka's year? What about it?
Maynardette
Nothing that I know of is going on, these guys are very excited about the upcoming season!

THE KING
I think they have a scrimmage with West Greene on the 14th. Maybe we will see if there is any truth to it.
Volball
Anytime a long-time head coach, not to mention one with Lunsford's success, leaves there is bound to be some turmoil the following season. Nothing against the coach that is in Cloudland now, but those are some big shoes to fill and anything he does differently will be questioned by the players who played under the previous coach last season. What year did Lunsford become the head man in Cloudland?
THE KING
Anytime a long-time head coach, not to mention one with Lunsford's success, leaves there is bound to be some turmoil the following season. Nothing against the coach that is in Cloudland now, but those are some big shoes to fill and anything he does differently will be questioned by the players who played under the previous coach last season. What year did Lunsford become the head man in Cloudland? Lunsford came to Cloudland in 1989, after serving several seasons as an assistant under coach Campbell at Hampton. Coach Keith has been at Cloudland since 1980 as an assistant. Lunsford actually played while Keith was coaching. Coach Keith has a good knowledge of the game and high expectations. If the kids are coachable, Keith will make a winner out of them. Look what he did with the softball team this year. I played for both men in the early nineties, and both men are winners. People shouldn't get down on the team this early, cause its hard to predict what might just happen.
HonestAbe
I play for Cloudland and this season will be a tuff one but it also can be a good one me and my other teamates are working our butts off to fufill in what has happend in the past.Maybe we don't have byrd, dane, benfeild,or a big line, but one thing is for sure we love the sport and we will work to win and also play as a team. Keith is also a good coach and he knows what he's doing like the king said keith has been here snice 1980 and lunsford has been here snice 1989 so do the math. THE PAST IS THE PAST AND THE FUTURE IS NOW!!!!! Lets just see what happens for u start running your mouths. Oh yeah UNAKA is unaka and always will be unaka in football and just to let u know we went 9-0 last jv season with the exact players and stumped unaka 2 TIMES. GO LANDERS #
dlu07
Actually HonestAbe, the past is the past and the present is now, the Future is August when everyone sees just how terrible you will be. Come on, everyone knew the only reason you made it to the state and the semis is because of Byrd and you layed a weak schedule. You never saw anyone descent until the semis. So Cloudland fans, get ready for a sad sad season. I dont even think Cloudland will make the play-offs. Just my opinion.
moosebychoice
HonestAbe, I am not dissing Cloudland. I am a Carter County fan but lean mostly toward Cloudland since I attended there for a short time. I heard from an Elizabethton native of problems and was concerned about them. Go Landers and all of Carter County.
buzzcut
Good Luck Landers! It will be tough to fill the loss of a head coach of many years as well as the talented seniors.
THE KING
dlu07, your name must stand for dillusional. The tradition at Cloudland will remain and we will continue to dominate all opposition whether they be weak or strong. We have a coach that dedicates his time to our players. You won't find him on here surfing coacht and responding to the King's statements like other county coaches. As for moose, he is only interested in keeping rumors flying. How would an Elizabethton native know what was going on at Cloudland? Honest Abe, you keep working hard. You are superior to Unaka! They don't even deserve to lace your cleats. We will have dominion over Unaka because we are on the mountain and they are in the valley!
