TSSAA website had all the other results from today but not that one. Sounds like extra innings.

Difficult loss for Lipscomb, great win for Lenoir City. Both teams continued to fight until the end. Mista was once again tenacious on the mound and showed a lot of heart. Lenoir City has some great hitters who were making contact, so many of the 8 walks were either intentional or safe pitches. Megan fought out of two or three bases loaded situations. Have to hand it to Lenoir City today, they put the ball in play when the needed to and came up with some great, albeit lucky, defensive plays. But what is the old saying..."I'd rather be lucky than good any day!" Today, LC was not only lucky, but good..

 

Question is, can Lipscomb fight their way back into the championship game? These seniors remember when Gibbs lost to Lipscomb the first game of the tournament during their 8th grade year, only to fight their way back to face Lipscomb in the championship games and beat them twice to win state. I know they have the ability to overcome the obstacles before them. Good luck Mustangs!
