Ummmmmmm..........yeah. I hope the Cats go 15-0 and bring home the gold ball. However, for this week I will settle for 1-0. This team does a good job of just focusing on the task at hand. The record will take care of itself.

No, if Maryville moves to 5A, they will not clean up. It will be a very tough fight from year-to-year to see who moves to the semis to play whatever team comes out of Middle Tennessee (usually, well almost always, Riverdale).

I got to agree with boyfromsi about Maryville.  The scrimmage they had with Oak Ridge certainly did not show "they would clean up"  It showed almost the opposite.  Maryville is a class program and highly respected, but don't get too high and mighty, when you fall it hurts really bad. :D

Well in that scrimage MHS was without our star running back not to mention a few other players we needed..........and also....MHS practiced for not even a week and then went to play the scrimage, i am sure OR hadnt practiced very long either, but MHS just wasnt fired up.....OR was....that was the difference. Also, it was a SCRIMAGE, key word SCRIMAGE.....in other words, we played backups, and back up back ups, and so on, so did OR but 1's vs 1's, in a game situation, MHS would quote "clean up".....This maryville team in 04 and the years past would have been just as dominant in 4a as in 5a....Just because you all have one more "A" doesnt mean anything except you have more kids to choose from at your school.....I am not saying MHS would be AS succesfull in 4a as in 5a....but i guarentee they would certainly be playing Late....Late in the year

What is the ups and downs of the Oak Ridge Wildcats?

It's really hard to say at this point in the season. We are still working in our new starters, but I am pleased with the progress so far. As you might have read in other forums, this might be the best O & D lines we have had in quite a while. They have dominated everyone so far. It's good to have a vet starting at QB. Our running game is in mid-season form, but we have good balance with a solid passing game. The team is taking the season one game at a time and doing a good job of not looking ahead or taking anyone too lightly. Not a lot bad so far, but DB in 2 weeks will be a tough test.
