who's overrated

mnewballer.. You say Rhea County is very overrated!! I would have to disagree Rhea is a good 4A school Soddy is a good 5A school. Just because Rhea Co. lost to Soddy doen't make them overrated. If you think that just losing a game makes a team atomaticallly overrated then you are saying McCallie and Christian Brothers are overrated both with a loss (Not at all am I saying that these 2 schools are overrated.. both of them can live up to the hype night in and not out). Just like these 2 schools Rhea Co. didn't show up to play on that particular night. Rhea is picked to win the region so if that is your definition of overrated then.. I will take overrated!!!

 

It don't matter who is overrated as long as you are winning and make the playoffs.. thumb

ok im talking about rhea not mccallie or whoever, i only said i felt ooltewah isn't overrated and rhea county is....when people are on here making predictions like rhea county 38-soddy daisy 12 and the score in fact goes the other way around in a complete blowout i'd say that team is overrated, yes rhea county will make the playoffs, will they win the region? im not sold on that but that wouldn't be a very great accomplishment this year since the region is very down this year even though it is still very balanced since it seems like most all of the teams are down this year...lets just see how it all plays out, its just the way some rhea people have talked up their team they make them out to be world beaters, and thats why i feel they are overrated b/c they aren't world beaters they are an average to slightly above average maybe 4a team

After seeing them play a few times, I have to say JCM is overrated. They are a very good team, but there is no way they are the second best team in 4A. Too many little mistakes in execution: missed blocks, sloppy ballhandling, and too many penalties. One of the best in West Tennessee, but not the state.

Ok I don't know who was talking Rhea County up but it was not me.. I saw Rhea Co. play against Jeff. Co.. and Rhea looked good then I also listened to them over the radio the last 2 games and they sounded OK then with the exception of Soddy.. Soody is a great team with incredible atheltes Rhea just didnt' match up to well.. But you also have to look at it this way Rhea county is a very very young team QB and both WR's are sophmores.. So the are meeting expectations for being so young.. I dont see them yet competing with the likes of a Maryville yet.. But give them a year or two and we will give people a surprise.. Espically since this is the first year under a new head coach.. They are not world beaters by all means.. As long as they meet their goals and everybody's expectations then by no means are they overrated.. thumb

Camden and Hillwood are two team I think are overrated. I believe teams have to prove themselves in the postseason before being highly touted. Yes Hillwood is undefeated but they were doing this last year until they reached the playoffs with a 9-1 record and were embarassed. Many Camden folks believe Josh Boyd is the best rb in the state. I don't think he is the best rb in the region. Camden and Hillwood alike need to win a playoff game before they get repsect from me.

Overrated you say? Camden's looking awful undefeated these days! As for Hillwood, seeing is believing, these guys are good.

Yeah I totally understand.. I am on here like any one else would do and try to defend their teams.. The reason I am saying they are not is no one that I know of is saying the are going to win state.. just win region and make playoffs..Yeah state would be incredible.. So to set goals and expectations to win region and make playoffs.. is just a team trying to achieve those goals.. That is what people are saying is Rhea is good and can win the region and make playoffs.. I know we still have to go to Cleveland to play which will make or break Rhea's chances @ the region crown.. But with Red Bank winning last night puts us one step closer to those goals... I will agree with you that if someone comes on here and says Rhea is going to win state then yes they are overrated for that.. But not for the goals they have set forth.. thumb

Ooltewah is overrated. They've only played about good teams this season. There rest schedule is even easie with the exception of Soddy Daisy. I'm not a fan of the Trojans but they will beat the Owls down.
