Health of LaMarcus Coker

Referring back to a post in the Brentwood-Centennial topic, Coker did "tweek" the hamstring he pulled during track. He is mobile and may play in Friday's game against Glencliff. On the comment that Antioch's playoff run and season are over is absurd. Coker is not the whole team. Antioch is so deep at RB, that he will probably not be missed for a while. Preston Brown is the best backup RB in the state. He is constantly on the field and will probably rush for more than 200 yds against the Colts. Antioch is still dangerous with or without Coker, its just that added speed in the backfield that is so dangerous.

With a tweeked hamstring, it MIGHT slow Coker down to a 4.6 in a 40. I agree, Preston Brown is an incredible force to contend with. I wouldn't go so far as to saying he's a good backup. He's as good as Coker. Antioch even has 2 more in their stables up and running behind Coker and Brown. Continue to look for Antioch to be a force to contend with for awhile. thumb

You are wrong senior RB Derente Frazier, Gaston Millers backup at Riverdale, is the best backup in the state.

If I am not mistaken, Frazier hasn't even played in a game. Have you seen Brown play. Sources tell me Coker has been cleared, and will play against Glencliff tonite.

I wouldn't use him tonight unless I absolutely had to. I think Antioch can beat Glencliff without him. With a slick, soggy field, I'd hold him. Of course, maybe that's why I am not a coach!

Antioch will not need Coker in the game against Glencliff. I say hold him out. Why chance it? He does not need to worry about stats he needs to worry about his hammy.

There is no way that I would risk further injury to LaMarcus Coker against Glencliff. Not to slam the Colts, but Preston Brown and Rashad Rogers are plenty good enough. Trust me, 90% of the high schools in the state of Tennessee would love to have either of those two guys STARTING at tailback for them.
