Bonds Hits 700

It figures it would be on a night when I was at a football game! I've followed Bonds since he came up with Pittsburgh. I thought he'd be a great one, but 700 home runs and a chance to become the alltime HR king was not something I had figured he would achieve.

I don't always like his attitude toward fans and the game, but he is one of the greatest.

I have been a Giants fan since 1962. I admire Bonds' ability but I just can't bring myself to like him.

 

I do think with Schmidt pitching poorly they have no hope even if they get to the postseason.

One more reason that my Giants are doomed. If St. Louis can get anything out of their starting pitching, they should be in the World Series.

Agreed. I go to St. Louis for 2-4 games every summer, and two of the last three years, I've set it up to be the Giants series. I *FINALLY* saw him hit one this year (and I'd seen the Giants a couple of other times already)...I was starting to get a little worried I might not see that.

 

Somehow, I'm gonna have to try to see Pedro pitch -- but that'll be awfully tough when there isn't an AL stadium within an 8-hour drive.

We made a trip to St. Louis during Bonds' rookie year to see him play. Saw him hit one, but it was before he became the great power hitter he is today.
