gps always seems to say people are "hurt" ... then they "surprise" everyone and bring them on the field...it gets old after 4 years...

yeah, well from what i heard today you are right... its sounds like they will be playing tomarrow, which doesn't bother the baylor players at all. They will go out hard no matter who is on the other team. Can't wait to see what happens!

The game ended in a 1-1 tie. Baylor came out playing hard, but not smart. A few players (new to the spotlight) were a bit nervous. Baylor held GPS through the first half and deep into the second when Caitlin Cook scored off a left foot shot from about 25 yards out. Baylor kept working and during the last two minutes Jen Clemmer beat two down the line and got a cross to the foot of Lauren Good who finished to tie the game. Overall GPS did a good job shutting down Paiger using three players to deffend her. Both teams had some close opportunities including two shots shanked by Carly Marrow and an upper 90 shot by Lauren Geismer that was saved by the goalie. Geis played well. She shut down Cook more than once, and took some close shots. Caitlin Cook did well, she is a good player, her left foot is very dangerous, and she finds great passes. Overall Baylor showed that they refused to lose. The defense (as I'm sure u'd like to know cm15) did well. Monica headed away several shots, Annie stripped Cook and Marrow a few times, both Hunter and Lacy saved Baylor from some dangerous moments. There were a few breakdowns in which Cook found the split to marrow... luckily carly couldnt finish. The result was what neither team wanted, but Baylor was able to score even though GPS had added an extra deffensive player. The teams will probably meet again... it will be very interesting.
