MBA At McCallie

In terms of defense, MBA is number 2 in the Super-7, and is gaining more confidence each week. Mcallie's pass offense is really impressive, gaining nearly 200 ypg, unfortunatly they have been throwing over poor teams (ryan, knox catholic). This game will come down to the trenches, and in terms of experience and athleticism, MBA has the advantage.

Gentlemen, Gentlemen, can we please settle down here. Let's look at this game pragmatically - MBA has obviously been hammered by graduation and injuries, no one should be denying that. We, The Big Red, have been spoiled the past five years having Ingle Martin and Michael Fisher taking every snap, they're tremendous athletes that knew their respective offense. So now we have a Sophomore quarterback. So does McCallie. McCallie has warriors in the trenches, but so does MBA, Birdsong and Bubis are as hard nosed as they get. It's going to be a war. The only advantage I see MBA having is in the backfield, Beckner, Snyder, Johnson, and Pilkerton are each capable of gaining 100 yards on any given night. This is the best chance McCallie has had at beating MBA since they thumped us in 2001.

 

But enough of this sarcastic bickering. I thought being MBA and McCallie meant we left the adolescent bitching to the teams in DII that havent won a Clinic Bowl (BA, CBHS, MUS, Baylor, and Father Ryan) hahaha! We'll see you on Friday night guys, we're going to hit you in the mouth and we know youre going to hit us back. I'm looking forward to this one. GO BIG RED!

A little research boys and it tells me that Ryans coach was Kurt Page. Can anyone verify the research? If memory serves they had quite a few "thugs" on that team that would pretty much do anything to win.

I wouldnt call them thugs, its hard to judge an 18 year old kid, mistakes will be made. One thing is for sure, that team was loaded with athletes.
