DB would win this match up in a big way. DB scrimmages and actually plays good competition during the year. TN High would be fighting for the 4th playoff spot this year if they played in the Knoxville region.

So how sure are you DB fans now? Yourteam struggles to beat a winless team. Don't look like your QB and all those receivers every brags about are all that. If you want to see a real offense and defense perform come see the Vikings of Tennesse High.

DB would win the game. DB can beat just about everybody during the season but they never seem to make it to the BIG SHOW!

Im tired of hearing you all say Tn High doesnt make it late in November in the PAST years. This is a whole new Tn High team, with different players. Have you noticed that the "no competition" teams have given Tn High a problem in past years? Have you see the scores this year? Nobody has came close, and nobody will the rest of their schedule. DB is pretty good this year, as they always are. You talk about scrimmaging quality teams, Tn High and DB we're supposed to scrimmage until DB screwed up and scrimmaged before they were supposed to. So Tn High scrimmaged Greeneville, a normal IMAC powerhouse. What did Tn High do to them? They completely embarrassed them. They also scrimmaged Powell Valley, have they lost yet? They have one of the best QB's in the SW Virginia and NE Tennessee. He may even be as good as Duran Ferguson. Tn High stopped PV passing attack, and handle them with some ease. Tn High has 3 running backs that run a 4.6 or better, one of them weighs 220 pounds and is probably the strongest guy on the team. Does DB have that? N, they have a QB who can throw it very well, but wait, so does Tn High, they just havent had to use him yet. Recievers? So yeah they have Williams who is probably the best reciever in Tenneessee. Tn High has about 3 or 4 good recievers. One of them, runs a 4.5, and rarely drops a pass. It comes down to the defenses, they are both good. We will never know who would win this game. But all you DB people need to realize that Tn High is alot better than you hink they are

No way TN High would beat D-B this year, even as good as their backs are.

 

I'd like to see the school's ADs can get together on this one for the future. I mean how long should D-B continue to schedule Sullivan North. A D-B/TN High matchup would make a great deal more sense.

you tn high people crack me up. u acutally think u can beat db. im sorry but u dont have the secondary to compete with db. duran would throw for over 500 yds if they played. u viking people are in a dreamland if u think u could beat db.

Duran is good but not that good. I seriously doubt he would throw for 500 yards although he is throwing to Williams. Viking hater you are probably one of those Central cougars that think you all will actually contend with Tennessee High. But it would be a good matchup. Not sure who would come out on top.

Tennessee High is good, If they were in Region 1 5A they would could maybe win 7 or 8 games. Don't kid yourself even South-Doyle and Knox Karns, although they have bad records, they have enough quality athletes to whip most 4A teams in East Tennessee. I'd love to see D-B vs TN High like the old days. But Dobyns- Bennett would beat TN this year. Someone earlier mentioned Ferguson is not that good, I beg to differ, even the Oak Ridge coach was quoted in the Knoxville Journal that Duran is the best quarterback he has seen in East Tennessee since he has been coaching. He's being recruited by several D1 programs. D-B has no business playing Sullivan North or Sullivan South. D-B vs TN High is a classic. Hope to see it happen next year!

Good post, VikingShip. Too bad the Vikes didn't get a chance to scrimmage the average DB team. (hurricanes are so unpredictable)  Sure would have helped to prepare for that ruff n tuff Region 1 schedule you have there. 

 

The DB Indians would beat Tennessee as bad as they wanted.  Too bad!

Well 3 for your info.... Tn high was scheduled to scrimmage db...but they got in trouble for scrimmaging central to early and had to forfeit the rest of their scrimmages.... and no they wouldnt beat THs as bad as they wanted i guarantee it would be a good game
