Guess you were quite happy with today's win, oakland? If you promise not to ride me too hard over it, I'll admit that I found myself rooting for a Braves comeback today!  Guess I'll pull for them at least into the series (I'm definitely NOT an Astros or Cardinals fan!) and if the Red Sox don't make it past the Skankees, then I just might root for Bobby's team all the way!

So, Go Braves!  Did I just say that?  ;)

Red Sox beat the Yankees in the season series 11-8...but, the Yankees won 4 out of the last 6.  Plus, the Yankees are Pedro's Daddy!

i know the yankess have owned the red sox in postseason play, but boston is red hot right now, they are firing on all cylinders right now, i think boston will win it in 6

It's okay to pull for the Red Sox...just be prepared to have your world come crashing down after they blow it.

I had two favorite teams growing up - St. Louis and Boston. The Cardinals were terrible in the 70s except for Ted Simmons and Bake McBride. But the team never won and I had no one to follow in the post season.

When I saw Fred Lynn play late in 74, I became a fan. I followed them through the 75 series with the Reds and the 78 playoff game with NY. When they let the Mets win in 86, I vowed never again to pull for the Sox. I've kept my promise no matter how strong the urge is to pull for them.

So, now, I just keep my blood running Cardinal red and nothing else.

Besides, my wife is a Yankees fan and she has assured me that the Babe will be at the series this week and will see Jeter and crew through to the World Series.

So, for your health, I would advise pulling for the Cardinals.

lol i dont think ill have to worry about my health just yet, am only 20 yrs old. i am very well aware of the red sox history and thus why i am pulling for them, and if they shall get eliminated i will root for st.luis, not neccessarily too fond of their manager but they got some great guys( not in baseball terms just as people)

You don't have to like LaRussa to like the Cardinals. Speaking from experience here. :D

    • It was not ACHS at all, they have zero reason to worry about Clinton.  It had to do with a kid (non football player)  that had a charge and appeared in front of the juvenile judge.  The judge saw that the kid was way behind credit wise for his grade and told him to reappear in a month with a plan to graduate.  When the kid reappeared he had more that twice the credits than one month before.  The judge called BS and contacted the school.  That is what started the investigation.  This involves multiple students, but to this point no athletes are involved.
    • I believe the Covington Chargers travel to Trenton Peabody for a scrimmage today? Anyone going to this? Curious how the Chargers will do.
    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
