TheBigRedDog
Did anybody catch any of this game? Gotta love a high school game on national television. Both teams were excellent, but I must say that Carrol was ridiculous. Reminded me of Louisville Trinity (Brohm era) with better athletes. At halftime they showed the facilities that these teams have...just awesome. The brand new Denton stadium seats 12,000. 6k on each side with three level press box including suites. Carroll had an indoor facility that puts most D-1 colleges' to shame...they said the Dallas Cowboys used it until they got their own a few years ago...I guess its like they say, everything's bigger in Texas. dlu07
I used to live in TX, and I wish I saw better facilities in TX.......the Lewisville Fighting Farmers have a nice stadium, and there are 2 schools that share a stadium, can't remember the name....i think the Haltom City Buffaloes...and man, it looks about like the Vanderbilt Stadium, very very nice!! Budrock
How do they build those big stadiums? Is it public money or private donors?

Ohhh What A Hit
well one explanation that could be looked at is texas has a state lottery. as much money as they pump into the state and schools it is really easy to get great facilities. i graduated in tennessee (high school) but i have been to different states with state lotterys and have seen high school stadiums that look better than d-2 and d-1 AA schools stadiums. if teams also share stadiums then they can afford ridiculous stadiums also. just a thought though. who knows how the devil they pay for those incredible works of art. anybody else have any other thought bout that?
