coachmasters
How could Darius Williams possibly be eligible at CBHS this year? I have personally dealt with a lot of eligibility situations and I cannot see how he could possibly be eligible this season. Has there been a ruling yet? CoachDelgado
I have no information of a ruling as of yet. I have not spoken with CLewis about it. The last time I talked to Brian Baucke it was not mentioned. We'll see. The only thing I know is that his family moved to a school district that does not offer wrestling. His only option to compete was to go to a private school.

dragon12
Collierville had a similar situation in John Able. He went from CBHS to Collierville because he wanted to live with his dad rather than his mom. It took a while, but he was able to wrestle that season. papbear3
Darius will not be eligible this season per TSSAA rules.
CoachDelgado
That is unfortunate for him. He is so good that any JV matches he possibly wrestles in won't really do him any good. Good thing he loves to work in the offseason. It can't replace the season he will miss, but it will go a long way in improving his skills for next season. WrestleSBA
I hate to hear that DeDe won'tbe eligible this year but I know it was his only option so I think everyone will understand. I know that there are a lot of guys in DI region 8 whose chances of getting to state just went way up and probably a lot od DI guys breathing a big sigh of relief knowing DeDe won't be in Chatt. this February. Come to think of it there are probably a lot of DII guys who are pretty glad he won't be there this year either. But if I know DeDe at all he will come out on fire next year with making up for that year of varsity fresh on his mind... afterall we all know how hard he will work this season and how much wrestling he will do this summer. Keep it up DeDe and see you around. Edited October 20, 2004 by WrestleSBA
CoachBray
Since I lost the little turdbucket, I guess I'll comment. This was practically his ONLY option as his family now lives in the Wooddale district. His family and I talked and it wasn't hard to choose CBHS w/ wrestling over Wooddale and no wrestling. Better school/better oppurtunity. Good luck to him!
WrestleSBA
LOL, I was wondering how long it was going to take you to make a comment Coach Bray... I have no doubt in my mind that it was an easy decision for him. Glad to hear you are at least in good spirits about it .
