I believe it is true. I heard they were playing Oakland only once this year and the game was at Oakland. I looked at Columbia schedule's on coacht, and it looks like their schedule is complete. So, I guess it's a game!!

yeah coach king i think coach king has no ambitions of playing at columbia ever again unless need be. but its great that they are renewing what was once a great rivalry in the 90's

With Coach King being the best coach in Dist 7, he knows what all Dist 7 coaches know: you don't go play at a Dist 8 gym unless you have to or you just want to get screwed by the refs. I usually am not a ref-ripper, but no teams get fair shakes while playing in a Dist 8 gym.

And like you get a fair shake playing in Dist. 7 gyms. Come on, that's an age old debate. Refs do not go into to a game seeing who they can shaft. Come on, really.

agreed. i dont think coach king isnt worried about getting screwed in any gym, much less one in district 8-aaa. coach king has just never liked playing at columbia, but i can tell you that it isnt because of the referees

columbia plays oakland. columbia probably has won more games over 17 yrs than oakland has. it has to be over 400. last year was columbia's wrost season in a long while.

Columbia's been very strong longer than 17 years CC! Fred Jenkins graduated in '83. They have been strong since his sophomore year in '81. 21 years and 3 or 4 coaches later, they're still pretty dang strong! Didn't the top 6 players from the '02 team all get schollies? A rebuilding year every now and then is acceptable I think. Good luck Lions!
