LEONARDS LOSERS Franklin Road Academy, The Mt Pleasant Tigers are Tennessee's Best 1A Team. The Panthers are traveling to Mt Pleasant, and boy are they in for a mess. The Tigers are wanting to make the Gold Ball Ceremony, and 5 teams stand in their way. They aint messin around. Just so happens that the Panthers are standing in the way. It wont be for long. The High Powered Offense and strong defense is ready and willing to host the Panthers. Mt Pleasant by 32, and advances to round 2.

LEONARDS LOSERS CPA, The Huntland Hornets will travel to CPA to take on the Lions. Although the Lions have only loss to tough opponents of Riverdale, and DCA, they must try and score on the only team that held Mt Pleasant under 30 points. The Hornets must score 25 points or more and hold the Lions under 15 points to win. This will be a great game, and a hard one to win. The tradition of the Lions will be the biggest obstacle to overcome. Huntland by 1 in a barn-burner, and advances to round 2.

We stand behind the call on the Unaka vs. Coalfield game. It is a whole new ballgame now. Coalfield is very inconsistant, and has not had a successful ending to its final five games. The loss to CAK , and giving up 70 tells us something about their team. Unaka has one setback this year, and will redeem itself if given the chance.

 

Now onto more predictions.

 

LEONARDS LOSERS Kingston, The Seymour Eagles will host the first round of the playoffs with the Yellowjackets. This should be a good game of two average teams. Neither team can compete after round 2, but never the less should be a great high school game to watch. The atmosphere in Seymour is always exciting. Seymour by 2, and advances to round 2.

LEONARDS LOSERS McNairy Central, The Bobcats of Greenbrier will host the 6-4 Bobcats. Greenbrier is 9-1 and looking to add to the win column. McNairy will have a rough night. The game will seem closer than it actually is. Greenbrier by 12, and advances to the second round.

LEONARDS LOSERS McKenzie, The Cheatham Co. Central Cubs are 7-3 and take on the 5-5 Rebels. The Rebels will have to travel to Ashland City to face the Cubs. Both teams blew the last two regular season games, and both are looking for a win. Cheatham Co. by 5, and advances to round 2.

LEONARD not saying anything bad about your prediction on the Unaka & Coalfield game just going to tell u that Coalfield will roll by 21 or more over Unaka. Coalfield played 4 real tough ballgames this year 3 of them in a roll (Greenback, Midway, CAK) & Unaka played who umm Cloudland. Cloudland put a hurting on them & Oakdale almost got by Unaka 13-7 a Oakdale team that Coalfield beat

48-0.

As we always, anything can happen in the playoffs. We don't pick on emotion here, and tradition can sometimes clog the numbers. We might get these picks wrong, but that is the fun of it. It is all a guessing game. So far LEONARDS LOSERS about 80% correct (225-51). It does get alot harder to call games when it comes to playoff times. So many factors including emotion, tradition, depth, and injuries.

 

LEONARDS LOSERS Red Bank, The Halls Red Devils are back in the playoffs after a two year absence. The 4A Powerhouse of the past has slipped some, but is ready to show teams they are not out. The Lions of Red Bank are not willing to let this one slip away like the last time these two met up. The week 5 matchup had Halls traveling to Chattanooga, and leaving with a 21-20 win. It is hard to beat the same team twice, but Halls can do it. The Lions wins over region foes Cleveland, Rhea Co. , East Ridge, and Chattanooga Central, were proof they were a good football team. The difference is region toughness. The region from the Knoxville area is a much tougher region this year. It is also a down year for the Knoxville region. Halls wins in another close one by 2, and advances to round 2.

LEONARDS LOSERS Lincoln Co., The Smyrna Bulldogs will travel to Fayetteville to to take on the Falcons of Lincoln Co. The 8-2 Bulldogs and the 6-4 Falcons have one common opponent, Riverdale, and both took a beating. The diffence make was that Smyrna actually scored. That tells us that they had some fight in them. They also had backups that put some effort in to the game. Lincoln Co. did not score. We understand that it was probably on Riverdale's third string, but Smyrna scored. That factors into playoff games. Depth and how good depth is. Smyrna by 6, and advances to round 2.

LEONARDS LOSERS Morristown West, The Vikings of Tennessee High are 10-0. While last years 4A runner-up is 4-6. What a drop they made. This game will get ugly from the start. The Vikings are averaging 47.4 points per game, and only allowing 7. This Viking team may be the only team in 4A that could hang with the Maryville Rebels. Believe us , Maryville and Tennessee High, have their eyes on each other. First the Viking must take care of the Trojans. The Trojans are just not the same. Tennessee High by 28, and advances to round 2.
