hmm dave good stuff. yah looks like my suspicions were correct. rankin is either one great coach or riverdale has had some grrreat players while hes been there. probably both right?

I have seen all but a 1/2 dozen or so games since 1993, home and away, and they have been fun to watch. I know my my oldest son enjoyed his years playing there ('97 graduate)

Riverdale has been blessed with some great assistant coaches as well. Some have left us for head coaching jobs at other places (and one even beat us in the Blue Cross Bowl one year.) Riverdale has been blessed with some talented teams, but with the exception of the 1994 team (perhaps one of the best high school football teams in state history) haven't been overly blessed with D-1 talent. Just a bunch of kids who enjoy playing the game.

But we have had the fun of watching some great kids at other schools as well. The little Quarterback at Jefferson County quickly comes to mind. Shaun Bohannan and company at your place. Mathews at Sevier Co. Smyrna had Powell and Wolke. DB's Lamon Williams was fun to watch at our place 2 years ago. Oakland has had some kids that would hit you into last Tuesday.... Just last week we got to see the Henn kid at Franklin County play his heart out and the Rebels had a nose tackle that was fun to watch.

Riverdale fans have been blessed with over a decade of quality football coached by some great men and played by some wonderful kids. I just wish more folks would come out to see some fof the great things our kids are doing, be it football, baseball, drama club or band competitions. They don't know what they are missing - do they oak ridger? By the way - how about giving me a call in the pressbox with your score and DB's and I'll call ya back and let ya know how the middle tennessee games turn out? :D

Both, plus some very good asst coaches. In fact one of his ex-assitants beat him in the Blue Cross Bowl two years ago. Coach Crawford at Brentwood was one of the best Offensive Co-ordinators I have ever watched.

Everyone keeps taking about the 94 team being better. During their season they had 7 shutouts, but it took the entire playoffs to get them. This years team ALREADY has 7 with at least one more game to play.
