Matt Eads Injured his left thumb during the Johnson county game in which they told him hten it would require surgery. He has since then played, and he went for a check up after the MOrristown East game and they told him the tendon that he tore was curling up that if he wanted to play baseball ( which he is a great baseabll player also) he would have to get surgery ASAP before the tendon died and he would loose all mobility in his thumb. He has surgery some time today (tuesday). So he will not be playing.

I heard the same thing as h-unit did. Eads had a certain "window" of time that he could have surgery on his left hand, or suffer permanent damage. He chose to play as long as he could, but his time was up this week. I really hate it for him. He seems to be a good kid, who has done alot for the East program. Hopefully he will be completely healed before baseball season.

Matt, hope the thumb heals well.
