Clarksville v. Franklin

Wesley Fink (Clarksville) 134 completions on 289 attempts for 2189 yards and 18 TDs puts him as the #2 QB in the Midstate. Lanis Frederick (Clarksville) has 56 catches for 1061 yards and 12 TDs, #1 in the Midstate. If Franklin can put Fink on the ground and cover up Frederick then Franklin should run away with this. But Wesley Fink isn't the kind of QB that you put on the ground. His scrambling ability is better than Austin Everson, if you can believe that.

This game during the season was an embarrasment to Franklin in that we allowed them to throw all day long on us and we could not get to the QB. We dropped eight and rushed three. We came back and changed our scheme and had better success against Brentwood and Ravenwood getting pressure on the QB. Look for Franklin to bring the house after Fink. Speed Kills!

Franklin will need to bear down this week and keep their eye on tha ball. After a big win friday vs Antioch, we cannot afford to relax. Clarksville is wearing the glass slipper right now after knocking out Centennial and McGavock the past two weeks.

Finks big night back in week 4, and Clarksville being the team to put up the most points against Franklin this year, will serve as motiviation to play better this week.

The matchup I remember was that Clarksville D-line had a hard time stopping our running game. We had 423 yards rushing and they had 354 yards passing. A pretty ugly game for both defenses. I think Clarksville about tripled us in first downs because we had long runs for TDs, where they completed a number of short passes
