Great ballgame, overflow crowd and just a great football atmosphere. The Camden Lions should hold their heads high after a stellar season. Obviously the Huntingdon defense has improved a lot in the post season. I was upset to see a lot of the Camden fans leave when the game got out of reach. The players deserved for the fans to stay until the end and show their support. Good luck to the Tigers next year in their new region. Now GO MUSTANGS as you play a rematch of last year's semifinals!

i was disappointed to see that the visitors side was performing a fire drill with 5 minutes left in the game.

Same here. First of all, my hat is off to the Camden football team. Thay played hard and never quit. Fine group of young men. But it is really sad after hearing all week about the pride of the fans and how proud they were of their team. Real fans dont walk out on their hard working team on the last game of a great season.

Good luck to the lions next year. You deserve better fans.

I can give you a brief synopsis....

Huntingdon dominated both lines of scrimmage. In the first half the total yardage was 227 to 72. If the zebra's hadn't swallowed their whistles in the 2nd half it would have really gotten ugly. In the 2nd half we quit bringing pressure and gave Camden receivers about 15 yards cushion so as not to give up the big play, so they were able to move the chains a little in the 2nd half, and keep the ball out of our hands. Markham is a great QB, if he's not playing somewhere next year on Saturdays somebody missed the boat. He impressed me more tonight than any other QB we have seen Ty Evans and Drew Hayes included. Congrats to Camden on a good season. thumb

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
