Gibson County led Bradford by as many as 21 before the Red Devils made a comeback to close it to the final margin of 5. GC was 19-35 at the line - hit more of those and the margin would have been bigger.

GC is mainly a guard oriented offense...Coach Harshaw is concerned about the Pioneers defense right now. They'll need to step up that end of the game in order to beat Lake County. On offense, Harshaw feels that the Pioneers have about 4 or 5 guys that can lead them in scoring each night. Plus, a strong center in Copley to battle inside. They'll shoot the 3...if they're hot, it could be interesting.

I'd say Lake County may be favored in this one, but don't count out GC.

There should be no shortage of 3's attempted. In last night's 71-51 win over Dresden, Lake Co. put up 20 in the first half. Six different Falcons scored from beyond the arc. Three players in double digits. Jamar Mays 17 and Tony Tyler & Lashon Mays with 13 apiece.

Gibson Co.-Lake Co. 5:00 tipoff on Friday at the Roundhouse in Dresden.

Thanks NWHoops..I knew about 6 or 7 different players hit three's but I sure wouln't have thought Jamar had 17 points..He is shooting so deep and shots look like they are going in but just not falling...He had a couple snowbirds so I guess that helped..I'm really not sure Coach Whitby is sure of his top five..He started a freshman,Channin Geanes, but I'm not really sure about bringing in 5 at a time...Tony Tyler had a great game the other night running the team but Jamar and Tony were never on the court at the same time...I believe Tony ,with his speed and potential to drive and dish it out really helps Jamar.....Sports Radio...the scores you are wanting are..Lake Co Lady Falcons winning 52-39..The Falcon boys won 65-58....The boys had a 13 point lead with a minute left but Brighton hit a couple three's,,

    • They will probably, struggle
    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
