treefitty74
First of all, after seeing the Maryville, Tennessee High game tonight it is painfully obvious the difference between 13-0 at Maryville and 13-0 at Tennessee High: Maryville's 13-0 is legit, otherwise here our my picks for next weekends State Championships: 1A DCA(14-0) vs Boyd Buchanan(13-1)- The rematch!! Last year I went to State and missed the Single-A game, unfortunately. This year will be different and I don't think the outcome will be any different. Boyd 35 DCA 28. 2A Huntingdon(12-2) vs Alcoa(13-1)- The Tornadoes coming off impressive wins against Rockwood and David Lipscomb is the favorite, and if the Mustangs don't come to play Alcoa could blow them out, but I think the Mustangs come to play, Mustangs defend their title, and win. Huntingdon 27 Alcoa 21. 3A Greenbrier(13-1) vs Knox. Fulton(12-2)- The defending champion Falcons are back to defend their title again, but this time their facing a bunch of great athletes in Greenbrier. The Bobcats have beat South Side and Kingsbury, and Alcoa has beat the former number one team in the state, Austin East, and Smith County. The question is Will Fulton repeat? My answer is no. Greenbrier 20 Fulton 15. 4A Maryville(14-0) vs Melrose(14-0)- At the start of the playoffs I picked this game, but I picked Melrose to win it all. After going to see the Red Rebels this weekend I've changed my mind. Melrose defense is stellar, giving up less than 30 points this whole playoffs, but Maryville's offense and defense is for real. So I say Maryville wins in the closest game of the weekend. Maryville 21 Melrose 20. 5A Riverdale(14-0) vs Franklin(13-1)- I don't know much about either team, but I do know Riverdale is Number 1, and will win Riverdale 35 Franklin 21. Comments Please and please post your picks. SEE YA AT THE BORO!!!! Edited November 27, 2004 by treefitty74

Falcon2
Fulton has been overlooked all year and this is nothing new. Fulton had no shot at Austin East because they had the athletes. Well....you can throw that out the window. Two evenly matched teams but right now Fulton is on a roll but everyone refuses to pay any attention to it. Fulton repeats

FHSrebel27
Next Friday and Saturdayat MTSU's Floyd Stadium... admission is 10 bucks or 20 if you want to go both days. The 1A game normally starts at like 3:00 PM on Friday followed by the 2A game. At noon on Saturday is when the 3A game will kickoff followed by the 4A and 5A games. possumcop
5A - Riverdale 4A - Maryville 3A - Fulton, maybe??????????? 2A - Alcoa 1A - Nobody cares outside of a few hundred private families. Nobody will until next year when 1A finally gets out of the exclusive "Private Gold Ball Division". thumb

possumcop
adidas23, agree with all but 4A. Melrose will fold to physical nature of the game in the 4th qtr. like about all Maryville opponents.
