Need Help Buying Receiver Gloves

Sorry but I coudlnt find any other places that would possibly help me out....

 

I'm going to be a tight end next year and I am in need of a receivers glove......

 

Ive been looking at the

 

Reebok double gripped ( adult ) 39.00

Cutters C-tack $34.00

Under Armour HeatGear $24.00

Reebok double grip ( youth ) 21.00

Nike Manigrip Blade $34.00

 

im really liking the reebok double grip but its kinda expensive. im thinking mabe I can fit in a youth since I have small hands? Ive never bought gloves before so I really dont know what size my hands are but here are some measurements.

 

from my middle finger to the bottem of my hand ( height ): 7 inches

 

i spread all my fingers apart and i measured from my thumb* across ( width ) 6 inches

 

the tip of my thumb* to the tip of my pinky finger is 8 inches

 

what do you guys think? can I fit in a youth medium, large or extra large?

 

if not then what kinda gloves do ya recommend?

Our guys really liked the Nike gloves this year. They had good grip.

As far as size, I would go to a sporting goods store and try on different brands. You will know which ones you want when you get them on.

Get a back plate instead. A shield also.

Usually most ppl just try on the gloves at the store, I agree with the last post just buy a shield and a backplate

And forearm pads, a double-guard mouthpiece, and definitely ankle braces...

To be honest, I would recommend no gloves at all. They help if Qb has rifle of an arm, but they hinder anytime you have to make a fingertip grab. It's very hard to feel the ball, especially on over the shoulder catches and all. My opinion- don't wear gloves.

You have to have a pair of gloves, stickum doesn't stay on bare hands very well.

I never wore gloves in high school, i went with the tape fingered look. I have found it to get a better grip with bare hands than with gloves.

Cutters or Nike Magnigrip gloves. If it is wet, no gloves really work that well. That is when you break out the taped finger look. That is what worked the best for me.

Sounds like you just need to learn how to catch. You don't need all that stuff if you have good hands. just catch the ball!!!

Fred Bilitnikof never wore gloves, get some "stick um" and put it down the side of you sock!
