Coalfield Basketball

I just want to say that our Coalfield boys are on track to have a heck of a team this year. First game back for all the football players, so it was a little slower than usual, but an overall good game. Steven Gunter was all over the court tonight and played an awesome game. Steven Hensley and MPG made great plays as well, give these guys a week of practice and a few games under their belt, and they will be unstoppable. Jaime Meadors also played a good game underneath. You really can't say enough about Steven, Steven, and Michael Paul though!

Lot of speed and quickness in the backcourt. Sunbright is an improved team this year too.

Strong defense in back court, quickness all over the court. Lacking ingredients: team play and get the football stiffness out of the returning football players, no eye yet for fee throws and field goals. The Gunter boy was all over the court and played defense with a vengence. Gilbert, Gunter, and Hensley are deadly on a steal and fast break. Pull them out and insert two or three more with the same type quickness.

 

Matt Jackson, for one of the smaller guys on the court can find a rebound about as quick as a big man playing under the goal with the ball coming straight to him off the rim.

 

Should be interesting.

 

Have a good year Jackets, you have so far in the fall sport.

I can't wait for the Oakdale--Coalfield game this year. It will be interesting to see who wins it.

Looks like their only force down low is Meadors... Quickness does win games though look at Football..... Good luck to the jackets
