Burr......I agree that AE is Fulton's best competition year-in, year-out. They deserve an honorary Silver ball for 2003, and 2004. Maybe we'll just start doing that in the (what seems to be starting) annual Quarterfinal match-up between the runners and Falcons. Winner-takes-all, and a year's worth of braggin rights.....loser receives honorary silver ball and has to listen to the winners' braggin for the next year.

Let's try to spell "congratulations" right next time we want to make a credible thread. Also, no more "Queen" songs shall be posted.

Thanks.

Sorry Mav, but I think he got you on that one.

But really...Next year is a different year, different Regional makeup, different set of circumstances...anyone has a shot, but know that the Falcons are going to be right in the mix!!

Go Falcons...BACK TO BACK CHAMPS!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey man........let up on chris. Obviously you don't know him or about him but don't pick at him and let him have his fun. He is very loyal to his school and shows it. Thanks

I was just playin' with him to get a reaction. Nothing wrong at all with having pride in your school and i meant no offense by that.

There's no doubt that Fulton haasa a great team and willhave a great team for a while.    But what school wouldn't have a great team when they are allowed to recruit all tha great players in the Knoxville arera.    This is what makes their success stink and will always stink.  If the other teams, in this state, were allowed to bring in the best players in their area and STACK their team then they deserve to win.  If they didn't win then then tha just means that the coaching staff is meager.    Fulton should be put in the private school Divison IA catergory and then see how well they do.  I'm sure that they'll be back to the SHOW nest year cuz I heard they've already signed 4 new horses to load up for another season.    Let's have them play along with the same set of rules that everyone else has to and then lets see how bad they'll be.    If Greenbrier had been allowed to bring in the best of Robertson County, where they're from, Fulton wouldn't have been able to stand with Robertson Countys best.    There lies the difference between these 2 teams.    One plays within the rules and the other bends the rules for their advantage.    This a problem that the TSSAA should try to fix.    Greenbrier worked hard and fair and brought more than 5000 fans to this game and Fulton has won this game for 2 years, with their recruiting and deceit, and didn't put 1000 fans at the game.  Who's prouder of their team?    Not the inner city familes, obviously.

A program becomes successful and starts a viable tradition and automatically you, (being halfway across the state, I might add) try to tarnish the accomplished by broadcasting bogus accusations of cheating and violations. Obviously your point of view has no merit, as you clearly speak with an overly apparent bias and with “forked tongue,” after your beloved Bobcats (the proclaimed “greatest Bobcat team of all time”) were taken down by a young, “undisciplined” Fulton team. Smells of SOUR GRAPES if you ask me!!! Please enlighten us with fact to go with your flimsy and insubstantial accusations!!!

We have a kid transfer from AE and now we rival Fulmer in recruiting. The comments were just plain classless. I know it is a hard pill to swallow, with Fulton crushing the hopes of all the Greenbrier faithful and 5000+ fans that made the trip...but dont take it personal, we were on a mission…your team just happened to be standing in our way at the wrong time.

BTW...I beg to differ; even Robertson County's best would not have won the game for you on Saturday!!!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
