When is it right? Now i dont think its right for adults to heckle high schoolers,

although I have seen it done. Is it right for the students to do it? Now, i dont think its right to use foul language and all of that. I think my school is pretty classy, and ive been around some pretty unclassy students (i.e. mcminn central). But then i think, I have done the trash talking myself when I was that age, and was even a pro at it in college (lebo's loonies, tennessee tech). Again, foul language should never be used, I just wonder what the opinions are on this matter.

YES IT IS ALRIGHT FOR STUDENTS TO HECKLE PLAYERS. IT'S PART OF THE GAME AND LIFE OF GYM'S. AS A STUDENT I ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO GOING TO GAMES TO HECKLE THE OTHER TEAM JUST TO SEE IF I COULD GET IN THEIR DOME PIECE OR GET SO FAR AS TO GET A REACTION. I BELIEVE THE FUNNIEST TIME WAS WHEN WE GOT THE GREENEVILLE WATER GIRL SO FIRED UP THAT SHE CAME UP INTO THE STANDS TO FIND 30 OF US STANDING AND YELLING AT HER EVEN MORE. AWWW THE MEMORIES. I THINK THEIR IS A POINT THAT YOU MUST NOT CROSS BUT ASLONG AS ONE DOESN'T CROSS THAT LINE THEN IT IS ALRIGHT.

It is never right for adults to do it. Other students is ok as far as I'm concerned as long as it doesn't cross any sexual, racial or ethnic lines. There's things that should just never be said as far as I'm concerned.

One of my favorites when I was a student yelling at a basketball game was "Miss it Dogbreath!" But that was when the show Hill Street Blues was on the air. Those that remember the show will know why I used the phrase.

Heckling players is fine as long as people don`t cross the line. Some players can`t handle it, some players thrive with it. Its all part of high school sports, there is nothing like shuting up a school's student section with a big shot. Most school's AD's or principals warn their students about crossing the line so it usually doesn`t happen.

    • Wanted to see if all of you would lift up Kyle James family in prayer. Kyle was one of the best wrestlers to ever come out of Soddy Daisy and as some of you know he lost his house a few weeks ago and now his family and friends mourns his passing. Not sure if any of you were around in early 2000’s when Kyle was wrestling at Soddy, but he was a 3 time state champ and a Fargo AA along with going to Colorado to train to make the Olympic team. That goal was never reached due to medical issues, but he was an amazing wrestler and his family is as good as gold. If you were around at that time and have any pictures of Kyle, please go onto Alexy Winesburgh FB page and post. Thanks, Doug Benton
    • My opinion the 8 teams will be-  Greenback, Wartburg, Gordonsville, Jo Byrns, Eagleville, Bruceton, Dresden, and South Fulton. Gordonsviile is probably the favorite but I wont say it will be an easy road. With the right draw any of the 8 could win it.
    • I understand Gibson Co. will be announced tomorrow with a familiar name. Not sure about So. Gibson.
    • A huge addition to the staff today! Former Hardin Valley legend and Richmond College running back Aaron Dykes was announced as the running backs coach. Rushed for over 3,000 yards at HVA, with 35 total touchdowns. I loved watching in Hardin Valley. I can’t believe he’s at Bearden now. I know he was trying to get a HVA job, I don’t know what happened there and how he ended up at Bearden, but I'm glad he’s here and believe he will be teaching art class as well! What a good get for the staff!!
    • Thoughts? Gordonsville won it last year with a sophomore pitcher and returned almost everybody. Can anyone beat them?
