USA in the World Juniors Tournament

WOW... this is nearly too much! If you're tired of watching the Titans, watch the USA take on Russia on ESPN2. The game is 3-3 after the first period. These kids are the future of the NHL... and my how the future is bright (unless you like defensemen!). There are a couple Preds playing tonight- Ryan Suter (USA) and a couple Russians such as Radulov (sp?) who was this years first round pick for Nashville.

Good guys win this one 5-4... very entertaining game. This is why we need hockey back! USA plays again on ESPN2 Monday night... check it out!

USA vs Switzerland is starting now on ESPN2!

I wonder where Dandy is at... surely he's been watching these games. USA wins again tonight, 6-4. Up 2-0 at the start of the third before a very quick strike from Switzerland made it 2-1 and then very quickly 2-2 at like 1:04. The Americans responded with two quick goals of their own. SUI made it 5-4 but the US sealed the deal with another goal and then some fine defensive play. Final: 6-4.

 

Suter is looking good. He'll be a force with the Preds... whenever the NHL returns. Robbie Schremp is also impressive. Believe Edmonton drafted him this year, yeah? Montoya- not sure why he was looked so highly upon. Maybe he's just had a couple bad games... but tonight, let two just squirt right between his legs. He's got aways to go before the Rangers will want him in between the pipes, IMO.

Injuries caught up with the US, but no one was going to beat Canada this year. They were angry from the last Junior World Tournament and they took it out on their competition this year. Crosby is going to be a special player in the NHL if there ever is one.

The NHL will come back. Heck, they still have time to get a season going now. They cancelled the meeting that was set for next Friday which many thought would be when the comish would announce the season was cancelled.

 

But yes, Crosby is something else. He's gonna be amazing!
