Reports are Dan Williams DT from Memphis East will become a Vol today.

Oher to announce this afternoon, UT or Ole Miss, looking more like Ole Miss with Oher's HS coach offered a job at Ole Miss.

Still a lot of big fish in the sea interested in UT including Rivals top 100 guys Turner and Oher along with DT Demarcus Granger, S Kenny Phillips, OL Chris Scott, RB Jonathan Stewart (a long shot because of distance), and DE Ricky Jean Francious.

Already committed to UT are 5 Rivals top 100--Crompton, Coker, CB D Morley, C Josh McNeil and LB Rico Mccoy. All Tennessee other commits are 3 and 4 star players.

Recruit, Phil, Recruit.

Not only did Tennessee land Dan Williams today, they also landed superstar LB Eugene Hayes from Greenville, FL. Hayes is ranked as the #34 player in the nation, #3 LB in the nation, #1 LB in FL, and the 5th rated player in FL. Many people thought he was a shoe-in at FSU, but he made the surprise decision yesterday on his visit to Knoxville. Tennessee will be loaded at LB in a few years.

OLB-Eugene Hayes

MLB- Andre Mathis

OLB- Rico McCoy

Would not be surprised to see Adam Myers-White add 15 or 20lbs and be a OLB especially if UT gets kenny Phillips.

Hayes has also joined Morley trying to help lure Kenny Phillips (who is visiting Knoxville today).  Phillips is the #1 Safety in the nation #16 player overall in the nation.  He is down to Tn and Miami--He is from Miami, but so is Morley, will be hard to pull him away from Miami, but who knows.

Philips is a stud at safety. I hope we get soooooooo bad.

Chris Scott, the #1 rated OG in the nation has committed to UT. With McNeil, Rawls and now Scott, OL class is good even without Oher, will probably add another before they are through.

Monster class, have more waiting in the wings--if get any of the rest of the "4 star guys"-Kenny Phillips, Demarcus Granger, Vlad Richard, Eugene Hays (who has decommitted at the moment and is undecided), etc. class will be unbelievable.

Now if Ut can get all the commits signed (next Wednesday is National Signing Day) and add a few more, this could be the #1 ranked class in the nation.

They are all prospects now, and have never played a down in the SEC--odds are some will not pan out, but when you have 18-20 4 and 5 star guys, odds are many of them will produce big time.

Also add Quan Crosby who was the #1 player in Texas coming out of HS in I think 2001. If we can land him and K. Phillips that will be the starting safeties from day one! thumb

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
