Well I came into this season with high hopes, as did many other fans for Scott County.....now that half the season is over we are all scratching our heads trying to figure out what happened to the team we thought we were going to see....

 

and to tell you the truth I really don't know...I think our expectations were too high...I think we were excited about a knew coach and thought he could turn it all around in one season. and nothing against the seniors we have now, but I think the future of this team will be in 2 years when this years freshmen and sophomores are seniors and juniors. That is where the talent is and if they all stick together they should be a good team and be able to be competitive. This year there is no one that is consistent in their shooting....Nelson usually has the high scoreing but she should be scoring more than she does. I think her not being on post has hurt her as a scoring threat. Where are the points from the other seniors and juniors. If you can't hit your not going to win games. But I support our girls no matter what ....good bad or ugly I'm there to support the team.....good luck girls and let's get some wins.... thumb

Sounds like you dont much like Kries or Murley. Hmm...wonder the why you wouldn't like the coahes B) thats weird. You were puttin the girls down and sayin they dont play with heart and get out there and fight for the ball. If the girls didnt play with heart they wouldnt be at practice every day workin their butts off. You've finally moved off the girls alittle and supporting them, but you still seem to down the coaches an awful lot. Whats with that? They are the best came our way in ALONG time.

I'm so sorry that it came out that way.....I love the new coaches!!!!!!!, I just meant that maybe we expected too much from the coaches but I dont mean that in a bad way, and i'm not down on the girls but i just call them as i see them, a couple of games i just think they need to be more aggresive, i'm sorry if i offended anyone on the team that wasnt my intention.....i love the lady highlanders no matter if they win or lose i just want them to play with all they got.....i support them with all my heart and i didnt mean to sound like i was down on them.......my best to the team always

........OK listen i have not given up on the lady highlanders!!!!!!!, i love this team and school and im always there to support them ....winning or losing but i just know that these girls are better than the scores of recent games. Plz girls know that i support you and i'm not down on you at all.......good luck LADIES...GO SHS

I said at the first of the year that we couldn't expect a compete turnaround in a program in one year...It takes time to rebuild. Just hiring a new coach doesn't make a team district championship material overnight. Sorry, I wish it worked that way. I do think that we will start seeing more wins for the lady highlanders over the next few years as they grow as a team and as individual players. There is definitely some talented ballplayers there...they just need to grow into their roles and into a new program with Kries and Murley. Both Coaches have coaches some exceptional athletes. Coach Murley assisted during the most successful 10 years of SHS history...He coached some of this county's greats. Kries has also been a very successful coach...just give them time. GO HIGHLANDERS...KEEP YOUR HEADS UP AND YOUR HIGHLANDER PRIDE HIGH...YOU'LL BE THERE

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
