The tournament will take place at the high school not at the wrestling arena. Everyone needs to exit at the Soddy Daisy/Sequoyah Access RD exit. Weigh ins are at 8:00. JV starts at 9:00, Varsity starts at 10:00. The tournament will run striaght through without any breaks.

Looks like a middle TN tournament. 13 teams with Soddy? Could help with some upcoming seedings especially in region five.

Soddy won pretty big. we had 4 champions. McCroskey, Toney, Roberson, and Letner beat the number one ranked guy in double overtime from Dickson County. Ryan Fuller got beat by Kellen Holliman. And Mikey got beat by a kid from Maryville. The rest of the champions were Smyrna’s Ethan Jones (103), Brentwood’s Chase Sanders (112), Maryville’s Nick Shields (125), Brentwood’s Kellen Holliman (135) and Nic Chamberlain (140), Maryville’s Landon Hall (152), Blackman’s Aaron Martin (171) and Kenny Meredith (189) and Knox Halls’ John Vandergriff (275). this is courtesy of Chattanooga times.

I was suprised to see Lettner beat Brooks from Dickson Co. This will sure shake up the rankings next week. When Feb. rolls around it is a new season, and it does not matter if you are ranked or not, it only matters if you are wrestling on Sat. in Chattanooga.

Why is Soddy having only 13 teams? When I wrestled in this tourney in past years there were always several more teams.

Lettner is amazing to be a sophomore and only 15. He looks like a full grown man. He's a really good kid with hard work ethic. Brooks will have to get in better shape to avenge his loss.

 

Soddy is coming along with their young talent. I was impressed with Maryville; and Kellen,,,, Kudos on your big victory!!!!
