The game started off pretty even, with the first quarter score being 11-11. The second quarter saw Loretto start to pull away, as Cross started getting the ball, and Loretto started making some defensive plays. The score at halftime: Loretto 32, Fariview 17. The third quarter looked rusty for both teams, as both teams slowed the ball down looking for good shots. After 3, Loretto leads 37-26. The fourth quarter saw Loretto pull away even more. They got the defense figured out and forced turnovers right and left. Loretto made their free throws for a final score of Loretto 65-45.

Also, according to "The Tennessean", Loretto shot 6 threes while Fairview had only 1. Laura Birdyshaw had 3 and Jana Cross, Jessica Green, and Paige Hannah all had 1 each. Look like Loretto really got going in the 4th qtr., with 28 pts.
