WilsonCentral22
The team was looking unstoppable until they were plagued by injuries. Now that the injuries seem to have healed, the team is playing great again. Even with one of the top players on the team injured for the Mt. Juliet (#1 State, #5 Nation), the Lady Wildcats still managed to stay close, and only lose by 6, giving Mt Juliet, by far, their best competition of the year. In the last 4 games, they beat Gallatin by 45, a good Hendersonville team by 29, and a bad LaVergne team by 52. what are your opinions? Shootmore
No. But they are good. And could finish second in the state. But in my opinion(which has little value), they are not #2. Edited January 22, 2005 by Shootmore
WCWildcat#1Fan
The Wildcats should have beat Mt. Juliet and will look forward to the game on Feb. 8th in our house. They have had to go through injuries but the young ladies are playing great.
MtJBears
should have? how do u figure that?
WCWildcat#1Fan
Mt. Juliet hit about 22 - 27 foulshots (81%) Central only hit 4 - 17 foulshots ((23%) If Central had shot their normal 75 - 80% then they would have scored 10 - 12 more points. Difference in the game was 6. It is also hard to believe Mt. Juilet went to the foul line 27 times. Both teams played great and have earned the spotlight. clevelandblueraiderfan
top 5 maybe but not 2nd 825532165[/snapback] true, i think heritage might be #2, Wilson Central is top 5 for sure.
ballfan
WCWildcat Mt. Juliet went 3 for 13 from 3 point land. If MJ hits half of them its a blow out, so you just never know. I don't see how you can sit there and say Wilson should have won the game.
Wilson Central Dogg
4-17 free throwing shooting is just so uncharacteristic of Central. Especially when its Gassie and Jenkins who were shooting the free throws. With Sara back by then, that is huge. And I will tell you what, with the experience the backups are now getting, and the signs of improvement they have shown, I think the Wildcats are looking like a team who could make a serious run at state. As for #2 in state, hard to say. So many good teams cluttered up there you can make an argument for any of them. Mt. Juliet is the undisputed #1, and to say otherwise is homerism. TheBigShow
Wilson Central is an awesome team, I would say they are #2 in the state. But I do not look for them to ever beat Mt. Juliet. Mt. Juliet will not be beaten all year, mark my words. As for Heritage, I see them in 4th place with Jefferson County in 3rd.
mjbear12
To say that a team should have won a game, is like sayin well..... if gassie would have gotten a steal on so and so play, taken it down, drained a three, then the game would have totally been ours. Stuff like that is all up in the air. your right, Central did have a bad night from the line, but MJ going 3 for 13 from the 3-point line? It would have gotten really interesting if MJ was hittin the 3's and Central was shootin free throws well. Feb. 8th should be a good one!!
