Outstanding rankings for three outstanding wrestlers!!

Now, in the next few years watch the results of these fellows and they may make us all even more proud. One more to add will be Kenny Merideth, as far as results go. He will be superior in strength and drive it appears. Very hard worker!

Those polls look at what kids have done not only within their state but also nationally. Meredith does not have the credentials that wrestlers such as Dunning, Cleveland and Marable have. Cody Cleveland used to win the AAU Tournament of Champions every year. Marable was a cadet freestyle national champion. Dunning has consistently beaten quality competition at events like the McCallie Inv, Harrison Duals and Helias Duals. Meredith is a tough, strong kid that is favored to win the state. At this point that should be enough recognition for him. We could "what about this guy and that guy" all day long with those favored to win the state. National credentials warrant national recognition.

Who has Kenny beat that is worth talking about. Kenny is not even a state champion, so why do you think he should be ranked

Oops, hes a state runner up losing in the finals by 1 point. His opponent scored all his two points off of 2 questionable stalling calls.

Why is Ben Hazlett mentioned but not Stanley Brooks?

State runner up in TN is not that big of a deal when it comes to National rankings. Tennessee is not in the top 10 and might not be in the top 20 consistently. The guys that are ranked have placed in or at least been competitive in national tournaments. I would say the thing that hurts Tennessee the most is the fact that in a state where competition is not as strong as others the competition is made even weaker by not having one true state champion. As for why Hazlett is recognized and not Brooks it's because Brooks hasnt even placed un the top 3 in state and though it's not his fault Dickson Co. seems to never attend any serious tournaments.
