Let's see....at Brentwood Eli lost to the Mater Dei Kid and then to Brooks of Clarksville, finishing 5th. On Thursday after BW he dominated Brooks for 2 periods before pinning him. Is that what you needed to know?

Last time I know of that they met was at the Call of the Wild tourney at Cordova back in mid-January I think. Carl won in double overtime on what can best be called a questionable call by the ref. To the refs credit he admitted not being totally sure of the application of the rule later and was going to put a call into Ronnie Carter to be sure for future cases. To clarify, Stewart was on top in double overtime and Carl stood up. Stewart locked his hands and continued to hold Carl without attempting to take him back to the mat. After 7-10 seconds in this position the ref hit Stewart for failing to return the man to the mat and awarded the match to Carl. I know there is not a stalling call in double OT for riding a man's hips without an attempt to turn but I would consider this basically the same thing as you are riding the man's hips without attempting to return him to the mat. To date it remains the only lose on Stewart's record but to be fair to big Carl he is also undefeated (even though that was his first varsity competition of the season) and has won the Brentwood tourney.

 

I think heavyweight in Region 8 will be very interesting at regionals when you throw Lindow into the mix and it could all have big implications as far as state goes.
