Why is PrepXtra's tope ten so different?

This poll inlcudes Knoxville, Tri-Cities, Chattanooga and all place in between... Prepxtra only includes teams that report scores and stats to the Knoxville News Sentinel.....

I think Powell, Oak Ridge, and Clinton are all better than #'s 6-10......

In other words, the teams that post stats have a big advantage in the PrepXtra Rankings? So teams like Morristown East and Oak Ridge never break the top ten, since they dont post their team and individual stats?

I kind of think that it is chicken crap of Norris not to post Oak Ridge's stats. The Wildcats are a good team, and those kids deserve to see their names in the paper. Either he is too lazy to tabluate the stats or he thinks he gains some advantage by with holding the information. Either one is just silly and like I said, chicken crap.

Mo East and Oak Ridge are both mentioned as honorabl mention picks in prepxtra.....Oak Ridge has been ranked in past years.....there is no bias for teams who post stats....they just haven't made the cut yet......

Concerning PrepXtra Top ten Ranking

Nonetheless I have heard that teams that post stats are more likely to be mentioned in the rankings as well as their players. If you look at the team records and strength rankings, it appears that teams that don't post are at a disadvantage. Not saying that is a bad thing, just something that is easily observable. Honorable mention is a far cry from top ten. Oak Ridge ( 15-10 and 8-1 conf) and Morristown East (16-6 and 5-3 conf) therefor appear to be conspicuously absent from the top ten despite their stronger record and strength of schedule, compared to some teams in the top ten on PrepXtra such as Alcoa 11-7,Farragut 13-8 and Catholic 13-6 . Posting stats do appear to make a difference , especially when you compare the schedules.

So are you saying post stats if you want your team noticed and in the top ten? I dont think so. Are you saying that Farragut,Catholic, andAlcoa are in the top 10 because they post stats and Morristown and OakRidge dont? Still why would a team not post their individual stats? Makes no sense really both not posting and

not making the top ten if you dont???????????????//
