Is there even a consolation Bracket? From the Bracket on the TSSAA site it appears to be the type of tournament where you either lose your first match (to go for 3rd) or win to the Finals. Does anyone get what I'm saying? The losers of Meet 7 & 8 have no where to go on the Bracket.

Losers of 7 and 8 go home. Losers of match 9 and 10 wrestle for 3rd (match 11). At least that is how it has been for several years.

It is my understanding that next year there will be no consolation bracket. Loser goes home.

ive heard in the past the idea of a 16 team tourney where all 1s and 2's from each region are put in and there's no consolations. i think that would be great, though possibly too big for one tournament. that way, instead of consolation finals, you could just see how far you get... final four, etc. what do yall think about that?
