In 8-AAA it has to be Bullock or Armstrong from Columbia. I think the all-district team will be...

Armstrong -- Columbia * Possible MVP

Bullock--- Columbia *Possible MVP

Ross or Moore Columbia

Carden-- Coffee

Grose -- Coffee

Buchanon-- Shelbyville

Jarrell-- Shelbyville

Jefferies-- LincolnCo

Bedingfield- Lincoln Co.

Hill- Lincoln Co.

Warf- Franklin Co.

Hudgins- Lawrence Co.

I don't know if Columbia will get 4 kids or not, but i do believe they have 4 of the best players in the district.

Who will be chosen MVP of District 7AAA?

I don't see a clearcut choice.

8AAA?

Same deal.

Best teams seem to be very balanced in both districts.

The MVP from 8AAA has to come from Columbia but the big question is who???

Janey Armstrong-Has to be the best post player in the District and Top5-10 in state

Alex Ross-Floor General,Pure Shooter. has real good Basketball Knowledge.

Nancy Moore-Defensive Beast! Scoring is down, but scores when she has to and has took on the role as the defensive stopper.

Deandrea Bullock-Has a great inside/outside game. She has great post move and can shoot the 3 at a good %. She is also a rebounding machine

I have to say 1 of these 4 will win MVP, but I can't see a clear cut winner. All 4 are MVP's in my mind!

In 7-AAA, I would say Asberry or Lanning. Just my opinion!!

salty is right, in 7-aaa there is no clear cut mvp. although lanning would be a good choice, how many district mvp's have been on teams that have been in the middle of the pack? if tabitha had scored some more points, id give her the nod. i think you can make the best case for tara davis as far as oakland goes

And another question is it just base on district games, or how a person has played thus far this season?

Who is leading the 8AAA in scoring at this point? I thought MVP was the person who led in stats and exhibited leadership for her team night in and night out. If it has to go to a person on the first place team, then it really isn't the true MVP of the district. Just my opinion.

Does stats includes all games or just district games? And someone can score 30 points every game, and not play defense well, or you have some that may score 8pt a game but can play defense better than anyone on the team.

What I would like to know, is does this just goes for district games or all games played so far, and who does the voting?

Typically, the coaches in the district have an all season, and all district tournament ballot. During the finals match early on the votes are tabulated... the MVP is usually the person with the most overall votes from either the champion or runner up as far as the tournament goes. The season MVP is a seperate ballot and more of a coach's choice based on whatever floats the coach's boats. Sometimes they give it to the highest scorer, sometimes to the person who did the most toward getting their team as far as they could. Occasionally it is a person who is a great player that is hard to stop but the team isn't that good overall. You can't say really anything specific. The tournament MVP is whoever got hot for the week of the tournament. That's been my experience over a couple of district tournaments where our school was the host and someone (me) had to count votes and do the tallying.

The coaches vote for this. Usually each coach will nominate one player from their team and then the votes are tabulated. So the big question is who will Coach Moore nominate? I think you have to nominate your senior leader Nancy Moore and I believe she will win bc it is obvious to me she is the engine that makes that car run and that is one powerful car in the district.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
