Waverly coaching postion?

As a student at WCHS i've heard the last name Rice, from Perry county..I've heard he is a really great coach ,but I don't know that much about him.Coach Graves.. I know there would be alot of people to play for him , I mean who DOESN'T like Coach Graves..

The word I get is that it is Graves's to turn down. Besides Rice, who else has shown interest in this job? I have heard that the right person could turn this program around. Is that true? Somebody give me some details.

I didn't know Rice coached basketball. I wonder how many other coaches in Tennessee coach basketball and football.

butkus, no offence but if you get the right person in any postion or job the idea is that, that person could turn the program around. And i do believe that if the "right" person is hired the program will "turn around". Also, i dont know where you got that Graves turned down the offer. I would think he would accept it if offered.

Some of you need to learn to read. I said that the job was his if he wanted, or more like "it is his to turn down". I know this is related to football, but this board is free. So what if some football is talked during basketball season, it's not against the law.

Did I miss something? Did the head coach at Waverly resign or something? I have not heard a word about this situation. Any info on this would be appreciated!

Pullen resigned liast week. The job has not been posted yet. But the word is that Trey Graves, the junior high coach, might be offered the job. Ricky Rice, the head coach at Perry Co., is another name I have heard. We shall see. Either way, the next guy at Waverly has a huge job ahead of them.
