Southwind Middle School defeated Martin by 25

Colonial Middle School defeated Rosehill (unsure of score)

Haywood Middle School defeated Snowden by 4

 

In the boy's action:

 

Southwind Middle School defeated Rosehill by at least 50

American Way Middle defeated Crestview

 

I'm sorry I don't know the outcome of the other games played on Saturday.

In the semi-finals of the West Sectional, Southwind girls defeated Haywood 57-26, Ridgeway Girls defeated Shadowlawn 35-24 (I think this is the correct score), Southwind boys defeated American Way 50-49 in a nailbiter, and I am not sure who won the late game-Kirby Middle against Fayette-West.

Southwind Middle School made a little history on Saturday Night. The girl's team and the boy's team ended their seasons with undefeated seasons as they captured the TMSAA West Tennessee Tournament Championship Title. Southwind Girls defeated Ridgeway Middle School (both Memphis Schools) and Southwind Boys defeated Kirby Middle School (both Memphis Schools). Congratulations to all of the teams as they all worked very hard and gave 100% the entire time. I look forward to seeing these kids playing high school ball next year and the years to come.
