I don't think it takes athletes to beat Ooltewah. And sure they do, Caleb, Seth, Dee, Mouw, Wadley. Those are pretty good athletes. I think that Temple should win this game.

I am going to say Temple by 8.

Oh yeah and I saw that Ooltewah got beat by Christian Heritage tonight 88-87. WOW. And i Talked to a friend from CHS and he said that Ooltewah was the most classless team they had played all year. That they ran their mouths the whole game and that once the game ended two of Ooltewah's players were in the face of a ref yelling at him and one player kicked a chair across the floor. If that is true that is uncalled for.

CHS vs. Ooltewah was a heck of a game tonight. It doesn't make Ooltewah any less of a good team because they lost to CHS. CHS has a solid team this year with a record of 25-5.

And i believe with one of those 5 losses already coming to Ooltewah who beat them by 18 the first time around.

Hls210...You see any of the ruckus after the game?

CHS isnt that bad but Ooltewah has proven to be very inconsistent so im not suprised much by this outcome. OHS ran their mouth? Welcome to AAA basketball Christian Heritage. I doubt OHS did anything differant than any other game. (other than maybe the ref situation). But i think Temple is the better pick right now there much more consistent and are playing to well to pick aginst.

Temple by 10.

It will also be interesting to see how Caleb does.

I just talked to some of my friends and they said that one of the Ooltewah players did throw a chair across the court. The ooltewah players were mad at the refs because they tried to call a timeout at the end of the game but the buzzer sounded before they could get it. They did line-up after the game and shake our hands so that was pretty classy after such a finish.

If OHS can play up to their ability they'll be tough for Temple to handle although Temple is playing some great basketball. Courtney White for OHS is a good player.

    • We have 2 PG's that will be added to the lineup and another guard and all are athletic and can handle ball pressure. Gibson County beat Westview 4 times in 2024. Westview brought in a Miss Basketball Candidate from South Fulton last year and you want to say Gibson County has a mental hump against Westview. I tell you what you put her on Gibson County's squad and Westview would have had a mental hump. Here is a fact. They wouldn't have won it without her last year. Last I looked Gibson County has played with who we got on our campus. Let's see how Westview does this year with who they got on their campus. I do think they will be pretty good but I don't like shots being taken at my school especially from Westview.
    • Smith County fans are delusional is they are wanting to get rid of Dyer. If they think they are supposed to be some powerhouse of a football program that wins 10+ games every year they need a reality check. Never have been that good of a football program and probably never will. It’s too hard for a small rural place to be consistently good every single year
    • If you’re talking about when they lost to Corbin HS out of Kentucky(4A school in KY) in 2017, they lost by 1 point and Corbin went 14-2 that year in Kentucky so to say they got “taken behind the woodshed by a mediocre out of state team” is a bit of a stretch. You act like Alcoa never loses at all. They lose games every year, granted mostly to Maryville but other teams have beaten them in the regular season. Alcoa just turns into another animal in the playoffs. Winning is a learned skill and it’s an advantage that Alcoa has over everyone when the postseason rolls around
    • Carthage is returning QB will be his 3rd years starting and a Jr.He should be coming around.A soph tailback that got a lot of exp as a freshman.Biggest problem is the line. They have a couple of good athletes that will make plays but the rest still remain to be seen.Size is not a problem.New OC will be interesting. He is known to be a trickster but a genius in some peoples mind.Coach Dyer better get the ball rolling.I'm hearing a lot of eyes will be on him this year.GO OWLS
    • If Alcoa keeps winning titles after moving to 4a it makes the whole state look weak.  Havent they won 10 in a row or something.  My god how can a team win 10 in a row, and the 1 time they went and played a kentucky 3a team they got there ace's beat.  Some redbone coonhound team handled business on them, but they can constantly win 3a in tennessee.  I remember at the time looking up that redbone coonhound team that beat them, and found out that team is made fun of across the state of kentucky cause they havent won a title in like close to 50 years.  Think i seen they are now in 4a in kentucky, and they never won a title in the last 40-50 years no matter if they are 2a, 3a, or 4a but somehow was able to take alcoa behind the woodshed in the midst of there title run about 5-8 ,years ago dont remember the year.  Point is it looks bad when a team gets there hind end whooped like a 3 legged rented mule to a mediocre out of state team the 1 time they play them, but can dominate the whole state in 3a for over a decade.  Someone has to start beating them.
