Beech would have been a solid #2, but Zach Hendren is out because of injury.

Look for Beech, Smyrna, Gallatin, Hendersonville, and Wilson Central to battle it out for 2-6 spots

 

Hendersonville is really due for a couple of bad years. They have been above average to excellent since 1993.

Actually, Hendersonville should be pretty good again this year. They have one of the best P in the district in Brandon McClurg and also a good middle IF. MJ is still the team to beat though. Beech still has a lot of arms w/o Hendren so they should still be solid. This will definitely be a dog fight between everyone.

Mt. Juliet should be a strong team this year and Wilson Central should be a good team, too.

Mt. Juliet will be tough again - did they graduate many seniors last year?

Hendren will be missed, but senior Alex Meadows and Junior Seth McAdams can handle things just fine.

hville has 1 pitcher, some young talent, and some leadership problems, at least that's the word from HHS insiders. Beech's pitching staff has some stuff but this team has yet to win a big game in a few years (get out of the district tournament) If they can find some chemistry and stay healthy they have a chance. This district as in most years will 3 or 4 teams battling for those middle spots, but MJ is the class of the district according to coaches preseason picks.
