I think Rainer is definitely the best returning goalie since MBA and McCallie lost their starters. I'm not sure if CBHS is returning their goalie, but if so, he should be all right too.

I agree CBHS' goalie wasnt to bad... but come on... their defense year in and year out is not good enough to give anyone a chance... but do you think he will still receive some recognition

Yeah, he probably will. He's a 3-4 year starter on a team that normally makes it to the State Tournament. If he puts together a good year, I would say he has a really good shot at 2nd Team. Its because his defense stinks so much he doesn't get much recognition. The Big Three can unload on the Brothers because they break the defense down, and in Lacrosse there is such a thing as an unstoppable shot. Some situations saves are made almost entirely because an attackman messes up and shoots where the goalie can save it. Chris Taylor has had to deal with a lot of one-on-ones with All-state players over the years, and they don't screw up that often.

However, we all know 1st Team is locked up.

Carver Morgan is replacing David Regan at MBA, and as a sophmore, he's a really solid replacement for someone as good as Regan. I don't know if he could get all-state but he could give it a run.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
