Hey Backer, I've been doing some price checking on some wind screen and piping for the fence. Outrageous. Hope we can afford to do it after the season, I think it would set that field off. If any of you baseball nuts out there know of any place to get that stuff at a pretty good price please let me know. I'd appreciate it.

Field renevations...I remember those. I believe it was my senior year that was played with the big "Devil's Hole" down the rigth field fence line where the construction crew didn't fill in one of their holes. I also remember running for a ball (while playing center) and flipping over the fence, which was a feat for anyone knowing my stature. I think that I broke the centerfield fence more than once while I was out there. And I find myself missing those huge wooden baseballs with the field dimensions painted in blue. Rusted out orange foul poles, broken back dug outs (especially the visitors' side), and that huge rock out in right field that always caused the horrendous hops, the trees just on the foul side of the left field foul pole. I miss that place, it was my home...thanks for fixing it up a bit. I know that I didn't get to play with all of the new work done to the field that much, but the Falcons have really got that field looking great. I still probably hold the record for having the pitch to hit the highest on the backstop, and if not then somebody needs to have their arm checked for sure. Oh, and do the bathrooms work now? Because we always used the jutting corner about 15 feet past the garage door (even during games). I miss high school ball boys, live it like it's your last. And keep making the Falcons proud...

I'll finally make a Volunteer baseball game. We got out of the track early enough today, so I'll be bringing one of my teammates and a coach with me. I talked with Coach Reed up at the track, so maybe we can make some progress on that situation now. Good luck tonight Falcons...
