I have seen alot of HS basketball! This was by far the best game i have ever seen!! A 12 point Raider lead is cut down to lead to a back and forth 2nd half...that ends w/ Danny Cumby racing the full length of the court w/ 5.8 seconds left and takes it to the hole and gets fouled...sinks 2 free tosses and BALL GAME!! :rolleyes: thumb

ah ooltewah-central in the districts was much better last year..its not as exciting to see a game won on free throws as it is when theres a guy with 3 guys all over him and he shoots it up not even looking at the goal and somehow it goes in

But my goodness! Racin the full lenth of the floor w/ seconds left! Erasin a 12 point lead! it was a ver emotional win for this small town!

its easy to go down the court in 5 seconds. 12 points isn't nothing, when you got 2 quarters left to play. Good game by Cumberland Co. They deserved to win this game. Good Luck in Jets!!!

Getting down the court in 5 seconds....easy! Getting down the court in 5 seconds with 3 defenders on you and all by yourself...not so easy! 12 points is a heckuva lead to surpass if you are playing a team as good as Cleveland... thumb

Great Job Jets!!! I am really going to miss watching Danny Cumby play ball.  He puts everything he has into every play.  In all of my years watching basketball, I have never seen a guy play from the heart as much as he does.  Does anyone know if he is playing college ball?

      I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.

      I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back

      That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef

      One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.

      If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
