I heard about this incredible game from a couple years ago when Knox Catholc beat the fourth nationally ranked mccallie 1-0 in the region semis off a shot from Jordan Sheiding. Does anybody else have any great performances from meanigful games, and I am not talking about a someone scoring 6 goals on a 22-0 win.

David Reeves from Cleveland last year during the region semis against ooltewah  he had 3 goals which took it into pk's  if it wasnt for him cleveland would not of been able to come back

it was a incredible game for both teams

I'm not really sure, but David Reeves missed his PK. And the only reason he scored was off two bad calls and too much stopage time.

When the CCS boys played Ridgeway in the state championship in 2001 (?) no one gave them a chance. CCS's defense was young and Ridgeway was a powerhouse.

CCS scored two early goals and went on to win 5-0. Martin Trimiew and Allen Duble scored all five goals. They played out of their minds. It was incredible.

The volley shot by Jon Williams (now playing at Lincoln Memorial Univ.) of CBHS in 2003 State Semi-Final against Knoxville Cath. that was the first goal of a game that many thought would determine the DII state champion that year. An epic game that was eventually won by CBHS 3-2. The game may have had a different outcome if Jon Williams had not stepped up his game to fill the gap of CBHS star player Michael Kraus (now playing at Creighton) who was sitting out due to a red card in the previous game.

Guys like Jon Williams are on many teams, they are not noticed but in the biggest games they somehow play at a higher level than anyone expects. It is a pleasure to witness this when it happens.

In the quarterfinals of last year's A/AA state tournament, CAK's goalkeeper, Mark Baker, scored the first goal of the game...off of a punt. No one else touched it before it took a large bounce over the opposing goalkeeper's head, so he was credited with the goal. Pretty amazing when a keeper, who is supposed to keep the other team from scoring, scores a goal in the state tournament.
