When the CCS boys played Ridgeway in the state championship in 2001 (?) no one gave them a chance.  CCS's defense was young and Ridgeway was a powerhouse.

 

CCS scored two early goals and went on to win 5-0.  Martin Trimiew and Allen Duble scored all five goals.  They played out of their minds.  It was incredible.

Mtman you called that one. I was an unbiased spectator and it was a fantastic game plan. CCS totally frustrated Ridgeway on that day.

 

My memory is Riverdale v Cookeville 2001? I think Cookeville heavy favorite-unbeaten the district that year-Distict semi lose 5-4 to Riverdale and if I'm not mistaken all goals scored by one player but alas I'm from Warren Co so I can't remember his name.

Also Bearden keeper stopping Clarksville in overtime in a game bearden goes on to win state championship.

This one time...Mikey Glass took off his pants and scored a goal.  He then proceeded to take off the rest of his clothes and run around the field...naked--HE WAS MY SOCCER HERO THAT DAY!

CAK played at Webb last year in a very hard fought game and senior Jason Bowman scored three goals to lead CAK to a 3-0 victory. This all happened on his 18th birthday.

I agree, that was an amazing game, i have never seen a forward finish better in a game.

I am going to talk about a heroic performance in a game that the team lost in. In 2002, CAK played Lenoir City and LC jumped on them early 2-0. It looked like it was going to be a bad day for CAK but Tyler Johnson started playing like a maniac. He assisted one goal, and scored another. Then LC went up 4-2 with maybe 5 mins to go and on the next kickoff after their fourth goal, Johnson got the ball beat maybe 3 or 4 midfielders/defenders down the middle of the field and scored again. CAK couldn't squeeze in another goal before time expired but Tyler Johnson's performance was amazing throughout the game. As time has worn on though many remeber it as just another CAK vs. LC game since they always seem to be great and come down to the last minute.

I remember that one twinkles. He got the ball on the kickoff and pretty much dribbled down the field, beating the entire LC defense. It was a classic LC/CAK game.

Wes "Yoshi" Moore's winning header in the 2003 state tournament as Lenoir City upset #1 ranked Ridgeway 1-0 in a game that many thought LC stood no chance.
