TNbaseball2014
Does anyone here follow 7A. Here how I see it 1. Jackson 2. Clarkrange 3. Pickett 4. Monetery 5. Clay County Watch out for clarkrange, they are very young and will be tough by tourney time
chsbaseballmom
Thanks for the confidence in our boys. It's a good group who are trying hard. They've got a few boys still missing because of the basketball team still playing in substate. Once everyone's back on the field, I feel like they will "gel" better together and hopefully will be real contenders this year.

baseball2020
I think you are close tnbaseball2014. I see top three being between Clarkrange,Pickett, are Jackson. I had heard Jackon was off a little and Pickett had one good senior pitcher. Clarkrange was real young but full of talent. So it will be interesting. curtislowe
Do not forget Monterey. They are the favorites until somebody beats them. Even without a field, They are well coached and year end year out they have the most talent.
swanson71
Since 2000 Coach Looper has lost the district tournament only 3 times and has been left out of the region tournament just twice and you have them 4th? I'll take them as district champions.....
TNbaseball2014
At this point its only a best guess until you can see them on the field. I do think that the district is down a little this year and could be up for grabs to which every team that steps up and takes it. swanson71
If I were a betting man I would bet on Coach Looper and Monterey nearly every year... They are district 7a baseball....... But I hope Clarkrange competes for the title. When I was in school it was always RBS, Monterey, and Clarkrange fighting it out for the top 3 spots as we had some very good games against each other, and then they slipped off and for years they were at the bottom of the barrel in the district. It's good to see them competitive again.
swanson71
Best of luck to all the teams! Edited March 1, 2014 by swanson71
baseball2020
I also hope the best for all the young teams. Too early too tell how the young players will respond. I am REAL familiar with the Pickett, Clarkrange,Jackson, but not as much with Monterey. So it was not fair for me to count them out. Have learned Pickett acquired a transfer pitcher who will help also. Did go watch CHS pre season game with Sunbright. CHS looked young but VERY talented group of freshman and sophmores. Again hope the best for them all.
